Treatment is available to prevent this, which will bring the product closer to composite decking in terms of durability. Composite decking is manufactured with the intention of enduring the outdoor environment and benefits from anti-slip and has innate protection against rot, warping and staining.

Sustainability: Most composite decking suppliers use renewable or recycled materials as part of their board creation process, reducing their carbon footprint. The long lifespan of composite products also means that they won’t need to be frequently replaced, reducing energy used for production.

How long composite decking lasts will depend on which manufacturer it comes from and the conditions its subjected to once installed. Many manufacturers suggest that your composite decking should last a minimum of 25 and up to 40 if well maintained.

Millboard recommends that their decking lasts up to 35-40, depending on its environment, and can issue either a 25-year limited warranty for residential use or a 5-year limited warranty for commercial.
